school ended in a sort of frenzy, excreting me out into a void of other people still working on their finals and my work with not much going on.
i spent an entire year looking for a car that most embodied my personality and philosophy of life (not easy!) while being seduced by pretty cars like the lusty g35 sport coupe and the quirky mini cooper and the feminine acura rsx and then most recently the svelte 2004 accord coupe. which brought me around full circle to honda, the brand i’d avoided from the start because my parents have an accord and a civic. and i can’t be like my parents!
but probably the reason i decided to buy a car right away was that my insurance came due on the 1988 toyota camry i bought back in april, the same one that has been sitting dead outside my apartment since i moved here. and nothing riles a watt more than throwing money away.
so i went out tonight and bought a car. a new, 2004, black, automatic, honda civic sedan. like the one at the top of the previous post, except with alloy wheels (yes!) and a sunroof.

showered, prettified, and headed off to the library, where the bbq had already arrived. so in classic flitting, scarved, sleep-deprived justin fashion, unloaded a veritable ton of food, and drank a responsible volume of beverage. thanks to everyone for participating in my meat-filled birthday/happy hour fantasy.
here’s a tastenewly minted 24-year-old justin with beer
My second trip to Tanzania completes my three country, six trip tour of the world. How splendidly symmetrical. Though the pictures below tell a story of continuous jaunts along the Indian Ocean, flirting with the flora and the fauna, I actually spent most of my time sitting in front of a laptop (the screenshots from which I will gladly spare you).
