i bought a car

school ended in a sort of frenzy, excreting me out into a void of other people still working on their finals and my work with not much going on.

i spent an entire year looking for a car that most embodied my personality and philosophy of life (not easy!) while being seduced by pretty cars like the lusty g35 sport coupe and the quirky mini cooper and the feminine acura rsx and then most recently the svelte 2004 accord coupe. which brought me around full circle to honda, the brand i’d avoided from the start because my parents have an accord and a civic. and i can’t be like my parents!

but probably the reason i decided to buy a car right away was that my insurance came due on the 1988 toyota camry i bought back in april, the same one that has been sitting dead outside my apartment since i moved here. and nothing riles a watt more than throwing money away.

so i went out tonight and bought a car. a new, 2004, black, automatic, honda civic sedan. like the one at the top of the previous post, except with alloy wheels (yes!) and a sunroof.

Congrats amigo… I expect a ride at some point

where is it? can I see it?

wow! congratulations!! i, for one, am ever so happy with my trusty honda.

i think i owe about a thousand people (melanie, jean, jane, patrick, jackie, etc etc) rides. i can’t wait.

your brother

why don’t you take it home with you :) i wish i could do that, just up and buy a car. well, i hope you enjoy it. (who’s el jefe?)

el jefe is patrick. yeah, wish i could bring it home and show it off too. it’d be an awfully long drive though. i’ll bring/post pictures…

I got my permalinks to work just for you!

Good choice dear, and the pictures are great, but I’d dump the picts of the old junker. They’re not even worth saving nor interspersing them with the aesthetic (or was it pragmatic) beauty you now own.

I can’t believe you bought the practical car! Did I teach you nothing?

kansas, except that practical is so PRETTY!
