Wow! She really does look like her parents. I definitely see a touch of Chris in that look.

that’s what fran says, right down to the toes…

Melanie

Any idea what happened to the Franklin Street webcam? I can’t find a link to it anymore.

Melanie

and that is one heck of a sweet little baby smiling at you

UNC BEAT MICHIGAN STATE!!! UNC’s GOING TO THE NCAA FINALS!!!

i’m not sure where the webcam is anymore. i think, it’s gone.

and yes. emma is like this tiny little mini human creature you can hold in your hands. look how big my head is compared to hers. crazy.

Katie

Um, dude, babies don’t smile at that age. That’s wind.

Katie

Burping.

maybe, but there actually was some sustained smiling, the first time they put her into my hands. from my vantage it looked like she was looking at my hair.

Katie

Yeah she’s probably thinking, man, gel is sooo late 90s.

That’s the cutest picture I’ve seen in weeks. Another one of my cousins had a baby, and I still haven’t met the kid two months later. It’s always unnerving to be 21 and watching the cousins you grew up with having kids.

katie, gel? mais non. just anti-frizz leave-in conditioner.

brock, thanks for the comment. i opened your blog in another tab (with like 20+ open from skimming bloglines) and after i went to it and started reading i was like, “this is good, how did i get here again?” then i remembered.

anyway, it was totally lucky that i was in the area and they just happened to have a baby. great timing on their part i say.

Melanie

How old was Emma? Babies should have a social smile by 3 months at the latest.

4-5 weeks i think

jane

“wind” usually refers to farting, not burping, i think.

as in breaking ___
