making cookies

went over to melanie’s the other day to make cookies. not just any cookies, but melt-in-the-mouth cookies, from a recipe that is now in its third generation. anyway, these little pieces of heaven basically involve brown sugar and butter, with a little flour, egg, and vanilla. as long as you’re extra careful not to overcook them, i would definitely definitely recommend that you whip up a batch or two when you get that urge to do something a little different.

in other news, i’ve ran again tonight after what i think has been a two week, knee-healing hiatus. i purchased a new pair of running shoes, instead of the ancient pair i started running with since july and tried to run only on asphalt.
