Lion sex

All those cute lion cubs have to come from somewhere, right? We also saw lions getting it on! Apparently they mate for a full week, making “love” every 10 minutes! I am not making this stuff up. I couldn’t believe it myself. In the 30 or so minutes we hung around and watched them, they “did it” twice! Grrr!

As an aside, a great number of the postcards we’ve stumbled upon in Kenya and Uganda show various animals in the act of copulation. This was my version. ;)

I don’t remember that part in the Lion King. More interesting though, the infanticide that happens within a Lion’s pride.
