Hoover Dam is big

Last weekend Stephanie and I traveled to Las Vegas for a wedding. On the way there we took a detour through Lake Mead. Which meant we got to stop and visit Hoover Dam. And take lots of pictures.

We walked to Arizona, then crossed to the lake side to see the intake towers. The white “bathrub ring” around the lake is due to mineral deposits from earlier high water periods

I was realy impressed – as i saw the construktion of the bridge. The “making of” was more interesting than the hoover dam . Maybe because i am working in building sector ;-). I guess they build more than 30meters since october.
