Bottle fetish: O&CO
Stephanie and I happened to stop in Oliviers & Co on Fillmore this weekend, and ended up tasting a whole flight of variously sourced olive oils. Their 2007 vintage bottles were all 50% off (olive oil doesn’t really keep longer than a year—something we learned in our Cheese & Olive Oil class) which turned out to be a great deal, as their 2008 vintage sells for between $45 and 60 a bottle (half a liter). And they come in a really nice shaped bottle.
