I know this is real, but it looks like a complete farce. I can only imagine the corporate scene that led to this culinary atrocity. All the Domino’s Pizza execs are sitting around the boardroom and someone asks, “What else can we reheat in a pizza oven? Of course! Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake!!!” Actually it’s sadder than that:

“This is a perfect add-on,” CEO David Brandon told Reuters on Friday. “If we can even get a small percentage of the people to say yes, we’ve added a $4 item and it becomes very profitable for our operators and very profitable for our brand.”

I honestly feel bad categorizing this post as “food”. It’s not hard to see how America is facing an epidemic of obesity. Ads like this should come with a warning label—or a nutritional facts breakdown, in the very least.

Actually… that’s a damn good idea. What would the “Nutrition Facts” label look like for 1/2 of Domino’s Three Cheese Mac-N-Cheese Bread Bowl Pasta (the recommended serving size) and 1 Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake? Well, it would look like this:
