Last night I stopped by the coffee shop to do a little thinking and blogging, and decided to have a juice, being that it was a little too late for anything with caffeine for me. I had a Cherry Pomegranate juice from Naked. Seemed harmless enough. Tasty too.

By the time I got home a little after 10, I was feeling a little agitated for no particular reason. When Stephanie went to bed I mentioned that my mind felt a little “tumultuous,” so I wanted to get some of that energy out onto a blog post.

Just before I went to bed I looked at the bottle of juice again to double check what it had in it. 380mg of guarana! Or about 3 times the caffeine in a cup of coffee. The juice was actually called Cherry Pomegranate Power. Holy shit.

I don’t know if knowing that was helpful or not. I was writing in bed for another hour before trying to get some sleep after 2:30am. When I closed my eyes I felt my eyeballs moving behind my eyelids. Sheesh.

Woke up this morning and immediately felt energized. And tired. My mind was still working. As was my mouth (Stephanie can confirm).

At work I pounded out some code I needed to get done in record time, granted it wasn’t that hard or anything. And now, now I’m starting to feel a little sleepy…
