Quite impressive. That must have taken a long time and to find similar poises from different cultures and area of living. Makes you realize that all areas of the world are connected in how they depicted art.

Actually, the post I linked to explains the details:

In a heroic effort, I managed to run through the Greek/Roman, Asian and Medieval European galleries [at The Metropolitan Museum of Art]. I took 482 photos that day, not knowing exactly what I was looking for. Gradually I saw the possibility of animating continuous movements using poses from historical works. I took 432 more photos, this time covering Egypt, Oceania, and the Americas. 914 photos total. 112 photos made it into the finished piece.
