aka Pedicularis densiflora. In the very least I’m guessing it’s in the Pedicularis genus. I’m looking to my botanically-gifted friends for assistance/confirmation.

Saw several off the beaten trail at San Bruno Mountain State Park. My only hesitation are the thorns coming out of each flower (pretty mean, if you ask me), which I haven’t seen examples of elsewhere.
