Interesting that film has made you want to read something.

this has happened before. the trailer for “sylvia” a movie about sylvia plath (which i never saw and apparently wasn’t good) prompted me to read the bell jar.
i can come up with several possible explanations:
1) a trailer provides a neutral opinion/synopsis of the book
2) a trailer is a really effective marketing mechanism
3) i’m particularly susceptible to visual imagery
4) if a book is being made into a movie, it must have legs

That book is really freaking good. I hope the movie doesn’t fuck it up.
