what time is it in liberty?

i’ve been living in california for just over two weeks. wow. it feels like longer really.

tomorrow i’m flying to dayton, ohio and then driving to liberty, indiana getting in quite late, but i’m not sure exactly what time it will be when we arrive as indiana doesn’t “observe” daylight savings time. apparently this time-honored confusion will be changing on april 2, 2006.

i’ve always objected to daylight savings time on philosophical grounds, but that’s rooted in having had to go to bed an hour “early” on an arbitrary date at a time of the year when i least wanted to be going to bed early. of course i was also like 10 years old.

anywho, i’ll be in liberty to see my cousin casey graduate from high school, to see my immediate and extended family who will be converging on liberty from all points.

back in cali on monday. peace in the middle east, yo.

Looking forward to seeing you tonight or early tomorrow morning. BTW, the time here is the same as CST here. That is, you’ll arrive in Dayton OH in EST time and drive 60 miles to Liberty and it’ll be 1 hour earlier.

ok, so with the 1hr drive or so, it sounds like we’ll be arriving pretty late. see you tonight.

that’d be ‘daylight saving time’ – and i agree about not wanting to go to bed early.

So you drive an hour and end up in Liberty at the time you left Dayton. Sounds cool to me….saving life, one hour at a time.

I. HATE. DAYLIGHT. SAVINGS. TIME.

So much!

I actually write my reps twice a year, every year, explaining to them the concept of lights on tractors, and the fact that all the farmers around my place FARM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GODDAMNED NIGHT ANYWAY, so there’s no reason to save any daylight for them any more!

mush, you live around farms? well i guess i do now too. grape farms that is.

I know this is late and all but if you think about it thought you lose a hour of sleep one day you gain a hour of sleep later on in the year. Also, you realy arent going to bed 1 hour earlier because you are sleeping for the same amount of timeand waking up at the same time. Aswell, I also live next to farms, but they plow all day so if they get off the field a hour early, it’s better for me so it will be easier to fall asleep.
