If not for the fact that I am ridiculously poor (and treat my house like a dormitory for dogs and dirt), I would say I’m participating in the gentrification of Durham. However, the above issues being true, I must say that despite my middle-class background, I’m socio-economically suitably situated near downtown Durham.
