was making a fancy hamburger for lunch today, david gray was on in the background, and one of the lyrics for babylon caught my ear “…turning over TV stations…” and that made me think, “hmmm, i wonder if he said ’stations’ cause he’s british. we probably would have said tv channels.”
well that of course got me thinking about the word “station” and the more i started thinking about it, the more i realized i have no satisfactory meaning for ’station’ in my head. so i said it over and over again. stay-shun. stay-shun. what the heck is ’station’? and then i started to think about all the crazy phrases that contain station. and i was amazed!

and then i ate my hamburger and took a shower.
