Jacqueline and Amadeo: Chasing Hope
apparently texas is underwater at the present, and my parents and siblings live in austin, so i thought I’d check the local paper to make sure they were still living. after skimming their local events, i came upon a special report entitled Jacqueline and Amadeo: Chasing Hope. it chronicles the life of jacqui saburido, a young college student from venezuela, who, in 1999, got involved in a fiery car accident, barely surviving with 3rd degree burns over 60% of her body–particularly her face and hands.
